It’s never too early
did some proper fanart for these anime children, some of them crying, some of them angry, some of them showing the face of the devil
I went back and watched bits of gameplay that I missed, and caught this gem.
Right after her angry speech to Komaru about how important it is to take a stand and take action for what you think is wrong, Fukawa says:
"He" persevered…no matter how hard or painful or scary it was…he always moved forward…he pushed forward…
Because of him…I’m still alive today.
No doubt, she is referring to Naegi. This is in chapter 2 btw, and this line of dialogue at the end of chapter 1 was, thus, most definitely referring to Naegi as well (notice the same yellow font and wording she uses to refer to “him”).
Conclusion: Fukawa is impressed by, maybe even likes, Naegi. She was at least concerned about him enough to beat herself up for not asking his whereabouts to Masaru in chapter 1, and feels that it is thanks to his efforts that she is still living today. Could also be part of the reason she is so partial to Komaru, Naegi’s sister, than any other relative that we see in the game.
(also lends credence to my crack theory that she’s projecting her feelings towards naegi onto komaru being a brocon)
tfw chihiros dad is super supportive of how chihiro presents himself
